Mrs. Messelt received a Music Education degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. After college, she taught music briefly (choir, classroom music and general music) in central Minnesota. Feeling called into ministry, she moved back to Fargo/Moorhead and became a youth minister at Hope Lutheran Church. After 5 years in youth ministry, she transitioned into worship leadership, where she currently serves at Hope Lutheran Church. She is also thankful to lead the elementary school chapel at PCS.

What do you like to do in your spare time?  

When I have time, which is rare, I love to write music, play guitar and sing.

Why does teaching at Park Christian School appeal to you?

At this point in my life, I can’t think of anything I’d rather teach than a class on ‘How to Study the Bible’! I am excited to study the Word of God with our 9th graders, giving them tools to grow in their walk with God for life!  “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Eph. 1:17

The best part about following Jesus is...

‍aside from the promise of Eternal Life with Him, is looking back and recognizing His hand the entire way. Every day of following Him is an exciting adventure. He gives me what I need (knowledge & wisdom) for today and keeps me trusting Him and leaning into Him for tomorrow.
