Park Christian School was founded in 1981 through the prayerful merger of Central Christian School, Daystar School, and Bethel Evangelical Free Church, serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade. As enrollment quickly grew, the school purchased its current north Moorhead campus in 1985, laying the foundation for future expansion.
Over the years, Park Christian continued to grow alongside the families it serves. Additional classrooms were added, and in 1998, a major building project made room for the school's first ninth-grade class and a new gymnasium. A second campus in south Fargo also opened that year to serve younger elementary students.
As enrollment increased, so did opportunities for students. New academic, athletic, and fine arts spaces were added, including classrooms, offices, locker rooms, a weight room, and athletic fields. In 2018–19, Park Christian completed a transformational $5.3 million renovation and expansion project, featuring a new entrance and commons, a dedicated K–3 wing, modern STEM labs, enhanced fine arts spaces, and extensive campus improvements.
Today, Park Christian School serves more than 625 students in kindergarten through 12th grade on its Moorhead campus. Throughout every season of growth, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to partnering with families to provide an excellent Christ-centered education. We celebrate God's faithfulness in our history and look forward with anticipation to all He has planned for the future.
