Education: Bachelor’s degree in Religion with an emphasis in Youth Leadership and a Minor in Business from Vanguard University of Southern California.
Previous Experience: I’ve spent the majority of my adult life traveling the world sharing hope. In my 20s, I went around the world six times in seven years, doing missionary work and discipleship in over 40 nations. In my 30s, I started traveling with a keynote speaker in the business space, sharing creativity and innovation with various businesses and corporations around the world. Art has always been a part of my life in some form or another. In recent years, I have allowed myself to dive in and explore what life as an artist in the world looks like. It has been a grand journey so far.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I am a husband and a father to two lovely ladies (ages 10 and 1). I value my family highly; we love family dinners and outdoor BBQs when possible. I create in my home art studio often and also enjoy getting outdoors—especially if I can get to an ocean. (I grew up in Southern California and always love being near or in the sea.)
What is your favorite Bible verse and why? Joshua 1:9 was a verse I learned as a boy at summer camp: “Be strong and courageous... for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” It has been a comforting verse throughout my life. Also, John 10:10 has been a declaration for my life, where Jesus said, “I have come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly!” Some translations say, “life to the full!” I want to live the abundant life Jesus talks about—one where we are fully alive and free in Him.
The best part about following Jesus is...Walking in freedom and love. He loves me just the way I am. Even all the weird things about me—that is how I was uniquely created to exist on this planet. Life with Jesus is FUN.
