Mrs. Nelson holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and minor in Biblical Studies from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. She has taught first and second grades in both a public school and at Park Christian. She has also taught in several different learning centers. 

‍What do you like to do in your spare time?  I like to listen to audio books, swim, organize, shop, and spend time with family and friends.

‍Why did you choose the teaching profession? I became a teacher after feeling called to teaching. I love the creativity teaching requires and enjoy connecting with students and their families.

‍Why do you feel called into Christian education? I grew up in a Christian School and I also attended a Christian university. The foundation my education laid for my faith as invaluable, and I want to help students have the same foundation I had. All the lessons and verses I learned throughout the years have been instrumental in my life, and I love teaching the Bible to children.

The best part about following Jesus is... that He loves us and leads us each day by His Holy Spirit.
