Mr. McNeal received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Biblical Languages and North American Church Planting from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX.
He is a pastor of Sojourn Church and has always had a passion for music. During college, he taught elementary music at a local school. During his years of seminary, he substitute taught and had a private guitar lesson studio of about 20 students.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my family (Krystle, my wife, Zachariah, and arriving this Fall Jonas) and my church family at Sojourn Church. I love Alabama football, coffee, and God’s Word.
Why did you choose the teaching profession?
I began in band in the 6th grade and fell in love with music. That love grew into a career path. Most importantly, God guided me towards learning the craft of playing the French horn and now being able to share the joy that making music brings with students.
Why do you feel called into Christian education?
I am passionate about teaching and making disciples. Fulfilling a role as a teacher at Park Christian is an extension of my passion and gifting. I look forward to daily raising up the next generation of church musicians and students that are passionate about following Christ.
The best part about following Jesus is...
That He brings meaning and purpose for everything in life.
