Park Christian School has Knowledge Bowl teams that compete during the winter season against teams from throughout the region.
Mr. Michael Moran, Social Studies/Bible Teacher
Michael Moran is in his second year teaching at PCS. He teaches junior high Social Studies, and Evangelism. Michael holds a Secondary Social Studies Education from Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
Tell a little bit about your family: My Mom and Dad (Anne and Wayne) are really good parents who have played an important role in making me who I am today. My brothers (Nathan and Mark) are the coolest people I know, and my sister (Nicole) is a little fireball for Jesus.
My wife is the best lady I know. She is the most encouraging, most positive, most captivating person in my life. I am so thankful for her.
What was your worst job ever? Lego Land at the Mall of America.
Favorite meal? Sushi.
If you could go on vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go? New Zealand.
Electronic reading device or a real book? Both.
What do you love most about teaching? The connections that I can make with students and the influence I sometimes have in their walk with Jesus.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I don’t have much spare time, but I like to read 19th century British literature, especially Charles Dickens.
What is a favorite memory of Park Christian School? My favorite memories at Park Christian School is when I see things happen that show me that I have made some impact in the lives of my students.
Tell your story: What does Park Christian School mean to you? What does Park Christian School mean to you? Park Christian School to me means the place that God would be glorified through me in this season of my life. It means a place where I have been stretched and have struggled, grown and poured out, been encouraged, loved, and trusted that what God is doing in my life and the lives of my students he will bring to a completion.
The best part about following Jesus is... That you may know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled to the fullness of the measure of God.
The Knowledge Bowl team touts a State Championship and also runner up. The teams are very competitive within the Minnesota High School League.
