   Missoula Children’s Theatre Presents The Jungle Book

PCS is pleased to announce the 2010 Missoula Children’s Theatre Day Camp presentation of The Jungle Book, Friday, June 25th at 7:00 pm at Park Christian School (click here for directions).
Hey! No monkeyin’ around!
Join your favorite bunch of Jungle Book characters as they try to catch a tiger by the tail when the Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 45 local students present THE JUNGLE BOOK, an original musical adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale.
This production is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented locally by Park Christian School.
Tickets are $2.00 for children 18 and under, $5.00 for adults, with a $10.00 maximum per family, and are available at PCS in the office or from a participating student.

PCS offers education from Pre-Kindergarten through 12 grade. We feature half-day morning and afternoon Pre-Kindergarten (Kindergarten Readiness Program) five days a week at our Fargo Campus, and half-day & all-day Kindergarten at both campuses. Our Fargo Campus also includes grades 1 through 3 while our Moorhead campus includes grades 1 through 12.

About Our Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Leland has his fingertips on the pulse of young people and families today. He is published in a variety of areas, and presents workshops and seminars for major corporations, Christian Colleges
and Universities, and churches large and small. More recently Dr. Leland has been asked to speak about comparative worldview issues as they relate to the family. He is currently working on a book project on Christian worldview, called Truth Be Told: Making Your Worldview a Way of Life.
Dr. Leland will be encouraging and challenging us as a school and as parents/grandparents to continue to impress upon our children a Biblical worldview so they can navigate life, staying true to Jesus Christ.

 Cancer Awareness Night at PCS Tuesday, Jan. 12

PCS is focusing attention on Cancer Awareness at the girls home basketball game vs. Rothsay on Tuesday, January 12th at 7:30pm.
The proceeds from our gate admissions as well as other donations will go to the Roger Maris Cancer Center Foundation here in Fargo. The contributions will be designated for 15-17 year old patients who are receiving care. Some of the items will be fun (camaflouge) boys' teenage blankets, handheld electronic games and computer games. Our varstiy team will be wearing new pink uniforms, so everyone also please wear pink to show your support! |

 Moms In Touch Group Meets Each Monday

The PCS Moms In Touch group group meets Mondays from 2:00 – 3:10 pm at Atomic Coffee located at 222 Broadway in Fargo (click here for a map). There is convenient 90 minute parking available on Broadway and 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
- Prayer will start promptly at 2:10 so if you want to get coffee and get settled, come at 1:45

 Don't miss the PCS Fun Fair Saturday, November 7th!

Come join us for the fall Fun Fair and bring friends! Its a great time filled with games, prizes, and other fun activities including a dunk tank and the ever-popular "cake walk".
Proceeds from the Fun Fair will go to meeting health and wellness needs at PCS, including physical education equipment for both campuses, athletic equipment, weight room equipment, etc.

 October is Operation Christmas Child Month at PCS

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations worldwide through gift-filled shoeboxes and the Good News of God’s love.
In order to bless as many children as possible, Park Christian students are again taking part in a school-wide drive to help these needy children. Last year, PCS families helped to create over 200 boxes with the supplies they provided!
We will also be sending these boxes with prayer and a personal letter from each student at Park Christian School.

 Pancake Breakfast fundraiser for Miss Arnold

A pancake breakfast and silent auction fundraising benefit is planned to help Melanie Arnold (4th grade teacher at Park Christian and member at Salem) with medical expenses. Melanie was diagnosed with RSD in 2007. RSD is an extremely debilitating, chronic, painful and progressive disease. Click here to learn more about RSD.

 Summer Chinese Immersion Camp Offered

Park Christian School is offering a 2-week Chinese Immersion Camp this summer for students in grades 4-12. The camp will be held from June 22-July 2, 9am-12:00 noon daily. The cost will be $100.00. Mrs. Tsen, a PCS parent and active member at Salem Evangelical Free church, will be the teacher.

 Spring Banquet and Silent Auction Rescheduled

The PCS Spring Banquet and Silent Auction has been re-scheduled for Thurs., May 14th at the Courtyard by Marriott in Moorhead. The Silent Auction will be at 4:30 with the dinner and program following at 6:30. We are so grateful to find a location able to host us at this late date and for the speakers' and sound technician's flexibility and availability. It's actually quite amazing! We are praying that God will use this evening in a mighty way to bless each person there. You truly will not want to miss it. The speaker is a man so full of wisdom and grace, Dave Leedahl, the alumni speaker will challenge and bless you with his wisdom beyond his years, fantastic music by various ages and groups of students, children quoting scripture, a fine dinner, a fun atmosphere with the silent auction, student greeters...it's going to be a great evening of celebrating what God is doing through Park Christian School.  UPDATED: Spring Banquet and Silent Auction

Be sure to join us for the 28th annual PCS Spring Banquet and Silent Auction on Thursday, May 14th, 2009 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Moorhead. Our theme this year is "The Business at Hand".
The evening kicks off at 4:30pm with a reception and silent auction that you won't want to miss, followed by the dinner and program at 6:30pm (running until approximately 8:45pm).
We are excited to welcome as our guest speaker Mr. Cary Humphries, President of Cargill, Inc., Retired. Mr. Humphries has served as a corporate board member, Christian ministry board member, and discussion group leader. He and his wife of 54 years also have three married sons.
We also are pleased to welcome our Alumni Speaker, PCS graduate David Leedahl.
Both men will share an inspiring message from their hearts and their experiences.
